The current arrangement Ostrovsky's plays.

Larissa - a girl from an ordinary family - is a devoted lover, Sergei Paratov. Love it prefers a marriage of convenience. In this game are drawn three other men: Basil Vozhzhevatov - a childhood friend and colleague Larisa Paratov, Michael Knurov - a competitor in business, and rejected by Larissa Paratov contender for her love, Yuri Karandyshev - honest, and therefore a poor soldier, sincerely in love with Larissa and alone against the rest of the wealth and cunning men. What will be the final? It is also tragic, as in Ostrowski!
