Childhood

Konstantin Khabensky was born in 1971 in Leningrad. His father worked as an engineer, mother of the profession - Professor of Mathematics. Here, small bones went into the nursery, and then in kindergarten. In first grade, he and his parents moved to Nizhnevartovsk. This circumpolar city he has lived for four years. In 1985 the family Khabensky returned to her native Leningrad.

The decision to become an actor

As a child, Kostya Khabensky never dreamed of becoming an actor. The boy dreamed only of how to quickly drop out of school. After graduating from the 8 classes without a "triple", Constantine entered the College of Aviation Instrumentation and Automation. But to complete this training, he was not destined: "I studied for three courses, defended kursovik - and then realized that absolutely nothing about the technical side of the case. Theoretically, more understandable, but to know where it then solder ... In general, it dawned on me that we should go somewhere in a different direction. "

In those years, Constantine all the free time spent with friends, as they were called "non-formals". Once their entire company was invited to the theater-studio "Saturday". Leaders tried to instill a love of theater to children. Khabensky recalls: "I am rooted, yet - my friend. Others - not rooted. And we had about fifty people. I began to work mounter and as much as to go on stage "theater peas" (this is when the stage is the main character, and around, instead of hanging backdrops, puts people, so profitable - quickly removed and hung on the wall). "

Constantine gradually drawn into the theatrical life, and the logical outcome of this was his decision to enroll in theater school. He chose the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography (LGITMiK), where and acted in 1990 in the studio, VM Filshtinsky, one of the best masters of acting schools in the country.

Along with him have learned Trukhin Michael, Michael Porechenkov (known as a spectator, "National Security Agent") and Andrew Zibrov. The boys become close friends and always tried to stick together.

The first work in film

His first film role played by Keira Knightley in 1994. It was the episode in the eccentric comedy Vladimir Zaykin "To whom God would send", which hardly anyone in the audience noticed. So this debut its hardly worth counting.

In 1995, after graduating from LGITMiK, Constantine was adopted in experimental theater "Crossroads", where he spent one year. Simultaneously, he worked on regional TV as the lead department of music and information programs.

In 1996 Khabensky moved to the Moscow Theater of Satire them. AI Raikin. Here, the young actor has been busy mostly on the sidelines. Among his works - performances of "The Threepenny Opera" and "Cyrano de Bergerac." Then there was his second coming in the movie, which proved more successful - in 1998, he starred in three scenes: in the Hungarian-Russian detective phantasmagoric melodrama Tomas Toth "Natasha", melodrama Dmitry Meskhiev "Women's Property and social drama" Khrustalev , My Car! ".

The first role as a recognized actor, he got a chance. Role in "Natasha" went to the actor after meeting with Hungarian director Tomas Toth. "We talked - says Konstantin - he asked:" Will you shoot? "- I said:" I will! "Then he drank vodka. Thus began the work in the cinema. " Just by chance he found himself in the film "Women's property." The actor recalls: "I went down to the studio on the stairs, toward the rising of some type that looks at me:" Something I do not know you! "- Replied:" I do not know you, too! "- And we parted. And then comes up to me and say that it was directed by Dima Meshiev and that I was approved for a role in his new film, "Women's property."

Through these works on Khabensky noticed, and he soon appeared in small roles in a thriller by Nikolai Lebedev "fan", and then in one of the main roles in the drama Vladimir Fokin "Home for the rich." For his work in the film Vladimir Fokin Khabensky was awarded the prize in the category "Best Actor" at the Gatchina Film, Literature and Film. "

In the meantime, continued his work in the theater. Since 1996 Khabensky performed at the Theatre Lensoviet, where he played the title role in the play "Caligula". Among other works actor: Fool Carl in "Woyzeck" by G. Buchner, Estragon in the play "Waiting for Godot," Beckett, Valentine in "wait and see" George Bernard Shaw.

In the new century

Jobs in the TV series brings not only immediate popularity. Once successfully played the role of found type, which so caught the fancy of the audience is introduced to the temptation to act in the subsequent sequels. This gradually leads to the probability of becoming an actor one role. Remember Alexei Nilov or Sergei Selin. To "Cops" have both had a dozen roles, among whom were prominent. Now they are known only as Larin and Dukalis.

Fortunately, with Konstantin Khabensky this did not happen. In the same opera in 2000, Igor Plakhov appeared before the audience ORT terrorist Gershoni in the series "Empire under attack." And in 2001 he starred in the unfairly overlooked by the attention the picture Dmitry Meskhiev "Mechanical Suite.

Frankly about the weak comedy by Alexander Rogozhkin "Peculiarities of the National Policy", where the actor appears as a corrupt journalist, we will not speak. But the work of the actor in his debut film of Philip Jankowski "in motion" was not left unattended. Khabensky played a major role - the successful journalist Sasha Guriev, hunting for sensations. His character - a gay cynic with sad eyes - just has to his audience. The newspaper Izvestia has responded well to this movie: "Almost the entire movie the audience in the room laughed - on the capacity of the replicas from the joy of recognition and not to cry. Was all too familiar with what was happening on the screen and too precise. "

Finally in 2004 the screens out the first Russian blockbuster "Night Watch". Keira Knightley has played a major role in it of Anton Gorodetsky. The film is preceded by a large scale organized campaign. Sure, it aroused interest in the film, which was quite good minunat action. However, as so often happens, the film found not only ardent fans, but also opponents. But it proves once again that the picture has left many indifferent spectators.

As for the theatrical activities in 2002 Khabensky made his debut at the Moscow Art Theater in the play "Duck Hunt", playing the role Zilova. A year later, Constantine was accepted into the troupe of the famed theater. In about his new work, he says: "You know, I'm not a set of reflectors and not on this occasion. I can say that tobacco mhatovskih none of the elderly has not touched. Someone left, someone came to us ... And with Michael Porechenkova he invited to the theater after a specially came to St. Petersburg to watch us on stage. Of course there is the joy of what works on this site. A thrill ... If you tremble on every occasion, you can not play anything other than awe. "
